Building a Strong Foundation for Young Learners - A Comprehensive 6-Week Journey
Our English Essentials programme is an enriching 6-week course designed to strengthen your child's English language skills through continuous, engaging learning. This programme consists of two weekly sessions working on the foundations for good writing as well as learning grammar and punctuation.They are working on a short story as their term project.
In this supportive and engaging workshop, your child will:
Master grammar and vocabulary: We will break down the building blocks of language, making it easier for them to understand and express themselves clearly.
Develop reading comprehension skills: Students will learn strategies for understanding different types of texts, from stories to informational articles.
Improve writing skills: We will guide them through the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to crafting clear, well-structured sentences and paragraphs.
Build confidence and communication skills: Through group activities and discussions, they will practice speaking and listening, gaining confidence in their ability to express themselves.
We'll focus on:
Essential grammar rules: Understanding nouns, verbs, adjectives, and other parts of speech.
Expanding vocabulary: Learning new words and how to use them in context.
Reading with understanding: Identifying main ideas, making inferences, and summarising what they have read.
Writing different types of texts: Creating stories, reports, letters, and other forms of writing.
Speaking clearly and confidently: Practicing communication skills in a supportive environment.
